A musical line is divided into segments using vertical bars. They denote the beat of a song. Closely notice a musical script; you will be able to figure out these features. From a musical sheet, try to differentiate the clefs. There are 2 clefs. One is the treble chef and the other is the bass clef. All the higher notes fall under the treble clefs. On the other hand, all the lower notes fall under the bass clef. With practice, you have to understand the note variations. In a song, the notes differ from high to low and vice versa. So, when you will play a song, it is of immense importance to understand those variations. For that, you have to learn the clefs.
Sometimes, you are not able to distinguish the notes of a particular song. For that, learn the notes. Once you know all the notes by heart, it will be easier for you to play an unknown piece.
The first thing you need to do is to learn all the notes in treble and bass clefs. When it comes to the treble clef, the E, G, B, D, F are denoted from the bottom to the top of the five lines in a musical line. To remember this variation, memorize the acronym “Every Good Boy Does Fine”. The spaces between the lines also hold proper meanings. They denote the notes F, A, C, E respectively, from bottom to top. The time signature is responsible for judging the rhythm of a song. It tells you where to stop and where to begin another line. The topmost number of a time signature signals the numbers of beats present in an individual measure and the bottom numbers you show you the type of notes which will occupy the beats in the song. If you keep all these things in your mind, then only you will be able to produce soothing music.
If you want to be a perfect piano player, you need to learn all the types of notes present and also have to know their names of each note. Notes are of many types. Like, the half note, the full note. Also, the quarter notes, the eighth notes and at last the sixteenth note too.
When the time id 4/4, the top notes will show that there are 4 beats present in the song. But, the bottom number will point you that the quarter note in that 4/4 time is only one beat. So, the whole note is the only note which will be measured and only two half notes will be present in that particular measure.
So, if you do not learn the notes properly, it won’t be easy for you. Learn all the notes and their notes by heart. Once you are able to master these, playing piano won’t be a big deal to you anymore.
Practice is the only mantra here. The more you will practice, the more perfect you can play. Keep on practicing all the notes until you are able to play all the notes, without looking. These will take days and weeks to be an expert. Play the song again and again, until you can play it with confidence.
